BRUNSWICK - As real estate agents predict an increasingly difficult
housing market to accompany the ongoing closure of Brunswick Naval Air
Station, redevelopment officials continue to marshal help for area
property owners.

MaineHousing Director Dale McCormick has targeted specific MaineHousing
programs to help the region fill residences vacated by departing
military personnel.

In one program, MaineHousing - the new name for the Maine State Housing
Authority - will reserve $10 million in tax-exempt loans for
multi-family housing in the BNAS area, a sum expected to generate up to
$3 million in equity.
