Proving ground still deadly By Stephanie Harris-Smith Hope Star (AR) October 28, 2009Hope, Ark. - Southwestern Proving Ground Restoration Advisory Board members and guests spoke out after a presentation given by Zapata Engineering at a public advisory board meeting Tuesday evening at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope campus. Guest S.O. K. Keith spoke first about his association with a young boy and a family killed by live ordnance right after WW II in the proving ground area. ...Larry Hudgins, Zapata project manager, who began the presentation on the recent findings, worked the comments into his presentations on the recent investigations and findings.
