SERDP SOLICITATION NEWS

THE SERDP CORE AND SEED SOLICITATIONS WERE RELEASED THURSDAY, OCTOBER
29, 2009. The Department of Defense's Strategic Environmental Research
and Development Program (SERDP) is seeking environmental research and
development proposals in response to its Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 Core
Solicitation and SERDP Exploratory Development (SEED) Solicitation.
Projects will be selected through a competitive selection process.
Details for both federal and non-federal submissions are available on
the SERDP web site under Funding Opportunities: www.serdp.org/funding
<http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=59822705&msgid=459354&act=8805&c=498043&admin=0&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.serdp.org%2Ffunding>.

The Core Solicitation provides funding opportunities for projects that
vary in cost and duration. The Statements of Need (SON) within this
solicitation request proposals related to the SERDP focus areas of
Environmental Restoration (ER), Munitions Management (MM), Sustainable
Infrastructure (SI), and Weapons Systems and Platforms (WP). For the
Core Solicitation, pre-proposals from the non-federal sector must be
submitted by Thursday, January 7, 2010. Federal proposals are due
Thursday, March 11, 2010, through the appropriate SERDP Executive
Working Group (EWG) member.

The SEED Solicitation is designed to provide a limited amount of
funding, not to exceed $150,000 in total cost and approximately one year
in duration, for work that will investigate new environmental approaches
that entail high technical risk and/or have minimal supporting data.
This year, SERDP is requesting SEED proposals for the ER, MM, and WP
focus areas. SEED proposals from both the federal and non-federal
sectors must be submitted by Thursday, March 11, 2010.
