S.F. Presidio Officers' Club on track for September opening

Tags still hung off sofas and lamp shades were wrapped in plastic at  
the Presidio Officers' Club on Wednesday, but such finishing touches  
are about the only things left to do before the mid-September public  
opening of San Francisco's oldest building.

Presidio Trust officials also had the news that the site will also  
offer a Mexican "destination restaurant" called Arguello - it's the  
one area still under construction.

A sneak preview of the building's five-year restoration included the  
first-floor Mission revival ballroom, or what officials are calling  
"the living room" of the Presidio.
