Cleanup of potentially dangerous material at former Camp Fannin defense site to be discussed at Tuesday meeting The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public meeting about the upcoming cleanup of possibly dangerous munitions and explosives at the former Camp Fannin defense site, located about six miles northeast of Tyler near Winona. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at UT Health North Campus Tyler, 11937 U.S. Highway 271. At the meeting, officials with the U.S Army Corps of Engineers will present information about cleanup activities for three munitions response sites.
