Guam firefighters sue over toxic foam By John O’Connor Guam Daily Post October 4, 2019 Twenty-three Guam firefighters have brought a class-action lawsuit against manufacturers and distributors of firefighting foam over alleged exposure to toxic per- and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals contained in the material. The firefighters are "asking for a medical monitoring program and for damages resulting from exposure to Aqueous Film-Forming Foams (AFFF)," according to a press release from the law office of attorney Michael J. Berman. "This is a product liability case against the large companies that manufactured and sold these harmful products."
