East Fishkill homes getting filters

A crew from the Environmental Protection Agency yesterday installed the
first air mitigation unit in a residence in the East Fishkill area that
is contaminated by polluted air under the house. 

Debra Hall's well is also contaminated and that is being filtered as
well and the air is being polluted from that, she said. "It's coming
from the water and it's coming up from the aquifer, so even if I have
good water, my air was very contaminated in the house," she said.
"Hopefully, this will take care of that problem."

At least 17 other homes in the area are expected to be fitted with air
mitigation units.
