Community Holds News Conference Opposing Willets Point Development

City Councilmen Tony Avella and Hiram Monserrate, along with members of 
the Willets Point Defense Committee, will hold a news conference today 
to show opposition to the city’s redevelopment plan.

Meanwhile, results of environmental tests at Willets Point could give 
more ammunition to those in favor of Mayor Michael Bloomberg's plan to 
redevelop the area.
