Hanover sends letter to residents about contamination at National Fireworks site By Chris Burrell Quincy Patriot Ledger (MA) September 5, 2012 Hanover - After fielding plenty of emails and telephone calls during the last two months about contamination at the site of an old fireworks and munitions plant, town leaders have produced a four-page newsletter to tackle questions about cancer rates, real estate values and freshwater fish too poisoned to eat. "Environmental Update: The National Fireworks Site" will be mailed this week to nearly 6,000 households and businesses, offering a short history of the site and chronicling more than 20 years of efforts to assess the soil and water contamination and plans to clean it up. ...
