How 'open' are USACE and the military to utilizing 'other' clean upmethods? Here in Florida, STAR Environmental, Inc. implemented their technology vs. the existing one that was being used and within 3 months, utilizing their technology, showed remarkable progress in cleanup (their technology is used elsewhere in this country and I would encourage those with questions to direct it to the experts-those at STAR). My experience with the regulated vs. regulators is trying to implementnewer technology that works vs. staying with traditional methods that are outdated (site characterization was a big problem for Camp Bonneville/regulated/regulators). What sites have 'taken the risk' and used newer technologies that haveproven cost and time effective-much like the sites here in Florida that have utilized STAR's technology and benefited from it (I would like the names of the companies in order to research them via the web)? Thanks, Stella ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | |
