Homeowners asked to join forces in lawsuit against Honeywell International By Carl Cronan Tampa Bay Business Journal November 7, 2004 TAMPA -- Residents of the area surrounding the former Honeywell International Inc. manufacturing plant near Himes and Waters avenues are being asked to join a possible class-action lawsuit against the company. Five plaintiffs have already signed on to a lawsuit filed against Honeywell in Hillsborough County Circuit Court on Oct. 11. Samuel Bearman, a Pensacola lawyer who brought the initial suit, said he has met with additional homeowners in a 3-square-mile area around the site whose properties may be contaminated by the underground spread of solvents from the old defense components plant. ...
