[POSTED BY Louis Fournier (starcompany@erols.com)] The coincidental timing of the report on the pit of munitions found at Camp Edward containing at least 75 inert munitions (75 inert 3.5-inch rockets and one inert 66-mm rocket) and the discussion of clean-up requirements by Congressman Roscoe Bartlett (R MD-6) at his press conference at Ft. Detrick make for an interesting comparison. Mr. Bartlett advocated that if there is no migration and no actual impact, then there should be no need for clean-up. By this standard, I guess it is acceptable to leave the munitions at Camp Edward where they are. (O.K., I know that this is a different thing!)
